Obituary of Hobie Harbison-Moore

Hobie “Hober Dobers” Harbison-Moore (2017 - 2024) passed over the rainbow bridge on Sunday September 8, 2024 just three short weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.

Hobers was adopted by his dads at just four weeks old after being found alone in a gas station parking lot in Newport Beach, CA.  Originally nicknamed “trash can” because he was found outside of a dumpster and would eat just about anything he later morphed into “little shit” as we discovered that he was probably feral and could sometimes be quite aggressive.  He eventually grew to become the amazing cat lovingly called “Hober Dobers”. He was trained by his late brother to know what time to be in the kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner and to recognize when one of his dads came home so they could be greeted at the door.

 We only got to enjoy him for seven years and will love and cherish his memory forever.  He was preceded over the rainbow bridge by his brother Poindexter and his sister Momma Bear.  He leaves behind his dads, Tim and Terry, his brothers Marley and Scooter and his sisters, Chunk and Myrtle Mae.  Our home will never be the same without you buddy.
